The story behind

“A motorcycle doesn’t just go, it stops. And how it stops defines the rider.”
EG Brakes was born in a small Italian workshop where engineers and motorcycle enthusiasts refused to accept compromise. We saw custom bikes being built with extraordinary care, frames welded by hand, engines rebuilt molecule by molecule, yet still fitted with ordinary brake components that did not match the vision of the build.
So we changed that.
Every EG disc is designed around the specific motorcycle, the rider, and the purpose it serves, whether that is clean street riding, spirited canyon carving, or full track performance.
Our manufacturing process brings together Formula 1 inspired materials science and traditional Italian metalworking. The result is a brake disc that delivers race level consistency, long lasting durability, and a design that stands apart on any motorcycle.
The Workshop
How we build
CRAFTED NOT
MANUFACTURED
Every EG Brakes disc goes through a precise four stage process, from raw material selection to final performance certification. Nothing leaves our workshop unless it meets the standard that rider trust demands.

Certification
Every disc is dynamically balanced and thermal cycled across temperature ranges reaching 300°C. Each unit is also hand verified before shipping and comes with a serialised quality passport that links it to its production batch.

Surface Treatment
Discs undergo plasma nitriding and controlled hardening. The braking surface is finished to Ra 0.4µm, a specification used in MotoGP level braking systems. Performance is prioritised without compromising appearance.

CNC Machining
Each disc is machined using 5 axis CNC systems to a tolerance of 0.01mm. The ventilation slot design is proprietary to EG Brakes and is optimised using computational fluid dynamics to improve heat dissipation and braking stability.

Material Selection
We source high carbon stainless steel and performance grade alloys from certified Italian mills. Every batch is tested for hardness before entering production. There are no substitutions and no exceptions.
